Joy

Come to think of it, I don't feel the atmosphere of this festive occasion. Yes, I'm talking about Hari Raya. Which is, needless to say, tomorrow. Everyone(I think) used to be so enthusiastic about the celebration this year, somehow, we(or I) just can't be bothered. I think the only reason why I'm a teeny weeny bit excited is because of my new clothes. Seriously. This is how bad things have gotten for me. I don't want to go to my grandmother's place and meet all my relatives. Honestly speaking, I'd be bored to death. Even if I started a conversation I'm sure it'll go like this, "So how's school? You're sitting for your O's next year right? What subjects did you take? Oh. Eh? Omg that must be really difficult." OR "So, dah start collection? heheh. Confirm duit this year sikit seh. In the middle of exams pulak tu" (Firstly, its the first day so OBVIOUSLY the collections wouldn't have much progress. Secondly, who cares? Thirdly, duh. It's been like this every year. Exams and all. We know it. You don't have to say it.) OR even worse. NO CONVERSATION. Then I'll just start one with my self. "Uhmmmmm. Uh....murrrr murrrrrr."

And you'll see your cousins who used to be so (insertwordofchoice) last year suddenly had a makeover and became one of those (insertwordofchoice). The people that you least expect to turn bad, turns bad. Oh, and the age group. THE AGE GROUP. I used to think that I'd be their age one day and they'll stay that age and we'll be the same age. I'm not gonna elaborate on that.

Best part yet to come. All your aunts and uncles will start to ask you about school. Compare YOU with their own kids. Then your mom will be like(this is what I predict), "Oh my daughter's leaving for Japan later this month with her school..." blabberblabberblabber. Then aunties will go, "EH! Alamak ajak cik skali la pegi!"

Okay that's it. I'm beginning to feel nauseous. Thank GOD I have two close cousins. I'd probably end up arm wrestling or playing with Fayyaz baby.

The only things that I'm looking forward for tomorrow is pathetically parading around in my kebaya and heels tomorrow. And not forgetting.....FOOD.

P.S. Don't you think this skin is wicked cool?
